Dust mites are in your home and mine. They are tiny insects that are so small they are invisible to the naked eye. However their feces and body parts are proven to cause asthma attacks for people who are allergic to them. According to the US EPA exposure to dust mites can cause asthma in children who previously have not exhibited asthma symptoms.
The fan and motor are cleaned and lubricated, the humidifier is inspected and a multi-point system check is performed. As part of our all inclusive service, the coil and blower motor are completely cleaned and vacuumed.
If the system has air conditioning both sides of the coil are cleaned carefully by our trained technician with high pressure air. Many companies bypass this time consuming step and leave your coil uncleaned. A build up of 1/16th of an inch of dirt on a coil can reduce efficiency by up to 21%.
The main lines are the cleaned with the reverse skipper, discharging compressed air in a 360 degree pattern again loosening any dust and debris in the main lines that will be removed by the vacuum.
Our technician uses a forward skipper which snakes its way from your register to the main line discharging compressed air in a 360 degree pattern. This ensures that even the smallest dust particles are removed from the duct. This is also the only device that will clean the damper and duct transition deep inside the duct system. Other companies ignore these fine details.
With your system under negative air pressure, created by our powerful truck mounted vacuum system, our technician will sweep using 200 PSI of compressed air, the inside walls of your ducts, removing caked on dirt and dust.
We clean air ducts to NADCA standards. The National Air Duct Cleaning Standard/ 1992-01 is followed by our trained technicians to ensure that every job we do is done right.
We will position our top rated vacuum truck close to your home, and once the hoses are connected to the truck we will bring them to your furnace(air handler). We mount our vacuum on an access port that we create in the main duct. Next, we go room to room, vent by vent, and with a separate high powered air hose, push everything through the duct toward the vacuum. With the power of our equiptment, this push/pull technique is superior to all ot her methods. Duct cleaning takes about two hours for the average home.
